David has earned a stellar reputation for exceeding client expectations throughout the Carolinas since 1984. In 2007, he launched Monterey Bay Homes and became a franchisee of AR Homes®. He and his team have received numerous honors and AR Homes® recognition for Best Model and the Chairman’s Award. He has served as president of the local HBA and board member of the NAHB.

David is a Raleigh native but has lived in various places until settling in Greensboro in the early eighties and running a business with his brother-in-law. In 2014, he and his wife moved back along with his two youngest daughters – he has three others for a total of five daughters.

He loves traveling, seeing construction of all kinds, spending time at the coast and cherishes time with family.

Larry brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to those looking to build their dream home. He has worked together with David Schenck since 1984, delivering exquisite custom homes to their clients in two markets. His started in architecture, but pivoted to home building early on in his career. In 2012, he and his wife, along with his three grown children, moved to Wake Forest. He has very much enjoyed helping in all aspect of MB-R’s start up and growth.

Larry is active in the community as a leader in his church, singing in the choir, teaching Sunday school and volunteering with groups like Habitat for Humanity.

He loves all architecture, woodworking, gardening, reading and drawing. He’s fascinated how all his passions seem to overlap and complement one another.

Nick grew up in Raleigh and lives in Clayton with his wife and two sons. He has worked in the construction industry for over 23 years – starting with K. Hovnanian Homes. He has been passionate about residential construction since watching a house being framed in 3rd grade. He’s been with the company the longest – starting when MB-R moved to Raleigh in 2012.

He loves coaching soccer, all water sports and pretty much anything outdoors.

Brian started with Monterey Bay in 2013. He’s been in the Homebuilding arena since 1983 with Masco Corporation, Owens Corning, BuildNet along with owning his own PR/Marketing firm and co-owner of Green Builder magazine in the early 2000’s.

Brian built homes in New Orleans after Katrina for the ‘Make it Right’ organization and active in USGBC LEED designation in Charleston. He was born in Berkeley California, moved to Boulder, CO when he was five and Washington DC at 13 years old. He has two older brothers, one in Colorado and one in Florida and a younger sister living in Suburban DC along with his Mother – Marty – a vibrant and loving 90 year old. He has two adult children, daughter Alexis who is a Wake County Public defender and has his twin grandchildren – born on Halloween 2013 and son Keith – Business Development executive for a software firm in Durham – who has his oldest grandson who was born in 2008.

Nicholas has over a decade of experience in management and over sixteen years of industry experience. Originally from Brooklyn, New York, he made the move to the lovely state of North Carolina in late 2018.He holds a bachelor’s degree in Architecture from NYIT, and further management classes at NYU. Nicholas has spent years immersed in the world of high-end residential projects, where he has grown to love how each bring their own unique personality and flair. Outside the office, Nicholas finds joy being outdoors and traveling with his beloved wife and border collie. Their shared passion has led them to traverse all fifty states, gaining an appreciation for culture and landscapes. In his down time, Nicholas can be found on mountainside in the backcountry with his snowboard or trekking through scenic trails.

Project Manager – Latoya is a proud graduate of Virginia State University. She prides herself on excellent communication, management, and organizational skills and uses these to enhance our Project Management Team. She a licensed NC Real Estate Broker as well. Latoya brings not only professional experience, but genuine passion to the housing industry and this shines through with her work at MB-R. She has a quick wit and brings a smile to most everyone she comes in contact with.

When she’s not busy at work, Latoya finds joy in crafting handmade soaps, nurturing her garden, and cherishing special moments with her daughter, Mila. From cozy family movie nights to exploring local parks and experimenting with delicious recipes in the kitchen, Latoya makes every moment count with her loved ones.

Mary-Lynn is originally from the Twin Cities. Graduated from both the University of Minnesota and College of Saint Catherine’s – obtaining a fine arts degree. She started her career at 3M, but pivoted to building luxury homes in 1992. She and her husband moved her business to Hilton Head in 2004 and continued building. They “retired” 9 years ago and moved to Wake Forest purchasing an AR Home built by MB-R. She quickly came on board to coordinate all selections and has expanded into fulfilling all decorating needs for many of our homeowners.

She loves playing tennis, creating mix-media pieces of art, quilting and gardening. They have 4 adult children and 9 grandchildren. Time with all of them is cherished.

Becky is originally from Reno, NV and graduated from BYU with both a Human Resources and Organizational Behavior degree. Becky moved to Southern Pines, and soon after started in the fashion industry and retail management. She moved to Raleigh in 2007 and soon after started assisting in the MB-R Design Studio. She has been instrumental in getting the DS up and going and continues to be a key player in the day-to-day operations.

She enjoys working out, target shooting, shopping and playing tennis. She has two adult children – one in Boston, the other in Pennsylvania.

Rebecca is a lifelong resident of Greensboro, NC, she has been happily married for 46 years. She has two grown, and married, children, and a territorial terrier named Otis. Professionally, she has been in the accounting field since graduating college many years ago. She has worked for David Schenck in both Greensboro and Raleigh for nearly 10 years.

In her free time, she enjoys reading and working outside in the yard.

Veronica brings over 13 years of experience in the financial industry, with a solid background in management and customer service. She is passionate about providing the best overall experience for clients and vendors. In 2017, Veronica moved with her husband and two daughters from New Jersey to beautiful North Carolina. Outside of the office, she enjoys making memories with her family and is a huge foodie who loves trying different types of food.
