Gainesville offers a mix of small-town charm and urban amenities. The community is strong, with access to parks, springs, and cultural activities from the University of Florida. The area has excellent schools, diverse dining options, and a reasonable cost of living. Building a new home here allows you to create a custom space tailored to your needs. It’s an ideal place for families, retirees, and professionals alike.

The timeline for building a new home can vary depending on factors such as size, design, and customization. On average, the process takes between 12 to 18 months, including the planning, permitting, and construction phases.

Building a home allows for complete customization to meet your specific needs and tastes. You also benefit from new, energy-efficient systems, modern designs, and reduced maintenance compared to older homes.

When choosing a lot in Gainesville, consider proximity to schools, work, and amenities, as well as the lot’s size, shape, and orientation for your home design. Site conditions such as soil quality, drainage, and the surrounding landscape are also important, along with zoning, HOA regulations, and utilities. Our team guides you through these factors to find the perfect site that fits your needs and vision, while ensuring future property value.

As a luxury custom home builder, 95% of our homes are presold to specific buyers. Our award-winning floor plan collection offers a great starting point, with a range of designs that can be tailored to fit your budget and needs. We work closely with you to create a detailed budget and help you make informed decisions that align with your vision and financial goals.

A custom home is designed and built entirely based on your preferences and specifications, allowing you full control over every aspect—from the floor plan to the finishes, materials, and features. This option offers the highest level of personalization to match your specific needs and lifestyle. A semi-custom home, on the other hand, starts with a pre-designed floor plan from our collection, which can be modified to suit your tastes. While it allows for some personalization, it generally offers less flexibility for modifications. Both options provide flexibility, but the level of customization and involvement differ.

We take pride in our transparent pricing. Our detailed quoting process outlines all of the included features in your home, ensuring you have a clear understanding of all costs before signing the contract, so there are no surprises. This attention to detail helps minimize change orders, allowing you to stay within your desired budget and ensuring a smooth and predictable building experience.

Yes, we encourage homeowners to visit their home at different phases of construction as their dream becomes a reality. Pre-scheduled homesite meetings are coordinated by the Project Manager, and a builder representative will attend the visit to ensure we are meeting your expectations. We discourage unscheduled site visits without a builder representative, as it is an active construction site, and the safety of both you and our crew is our top priority.

At AR Homes, our mission is to exceed your expectations by providing exceptional customer satisfaction while consistently upholding our superior quality standards.
